We all join in giving thanks for the rain Friday night. Of course we would have been pleased with more, but the way it got right down to business while it did rain done our hearts good.

Are we not right in our opinion that a good dog should be kept from running at large at night and surely a bad one ought to. These night concerts which us neighbors has been subjected to of late are certainly distressing.

Who can beat this? Miss Nellie Newkirk was visiting her grandpa here she went out hunting with her little gun and brought in several birds, squirrels and rabbits. Her little hunting outfit was carried and used with the skill of an older person, and we might say the other sex. Miss Nellie seems to be a girl of determination, with lots of grit to back it.
