Lord Rosebery A Literary Man
Lord Rosebery a Literary Man.
In a week that has seen the publication of an article by Lord Rosebery, and the issue of a volume of his lordship's "Appreciations and Addresses," it may be noted that it is almost nine years since a contribution to periodical literature from the ex-premier's pen has appeared. Lord Rosebery has had many requests for a magazine article, and in yielding to an appeal from the editor of the Scottish Liberal- a short lived weekly, which appeared on February 7, 1890- he began his article on "Reform of the House of Lords" in that journal by stating that he had been invited "to a task which was unfamiliar. But the political struggle is now so keen that perhaps no on should stand aside simply from a sense of incapacity."
