An Addition to Their Mill

Ground has been broken for a two story, 23x33 brick addition to the Allmendinger & Schneider mill on S. First st. The plans have been drawn by W.A. Otis, an architect, of Chicago, and a classmate of G. Frank Allemndinger. The plans are very complete in every detail. A large vault will be built, the first floor of the building being used for office purposes. This will be a great convenience, as the present office is entirely too small for the firms' rapidly increasing business. The front of the addition will be very tasty. It will be built on the north side of the mill, where house the formerly occupied by Gottlieb Schneider stood. August Tesmer has the contract for the mason work and Hochrein & Braun the carpenter work.
