CHRYSANTHEMUMS! 1,300 GIVEN AWAY
Talk about a Freshman-Sophomore rush after a mass meeting! Mack & Co. 's store was the scene of almost a turbulent crash of humanity this morning when their fifth annual chrysanthemum sale opened. Women actually got to rushing each other for the choicest souvenir plants. By 8 o'clock Thursday the store was crowded and continued so all day.
At 3 o'clock in the afternoon Walter Mack was asked how many had been given away. "Over 800, and we expect when we lock our store tonight that at least 1,300 chrysanthemum plants will have been given out. It has been the greatest souvenir sale we ever had "
