CHICAGO'S GIFT TO DEWEY.

Silver Service Designed to Grace the Admiral's New Home.

The Dewey silver service which Chicago will present is designed to grace the admiral's new house. It is of French gray finish. Laurel and the acanthus leaf, the former symbolic of victory and the latter beloved by the Greeks, are the prevailing decorations.

Four Cupids in bas relief holding garlands of fruit are features of the base of the center piece, says the New York World. Besides the punch set, tea set and coffee set the service numbers 40 pieces. The total number of pieces is 70. The cost will be $15.000.
