A cali was circulatcd upon the strect last Tucsday, a.sking all independent voters to assemble at the tent upon Wedncsday even ing, for the purpoae of forming a club. No names were signed to the cill, and no furtlier objootgiven. On Wednesday evening some 00 or 75 young voters asscmbled at the appointed placu, and carne to order by calling John Martin tothe chair. Mr. Martin said that the object of the meeting was to form a club of independent voters, and the presence of none but voters was desired. He aaid they had a oertain object in oontemplation whieh thcy not only desired to accoruplish but shonld aecomplish, through the instrumentality of the organization they then proposed to effect, which object woulc in due time bo made public. They then prooeeded to the election of officers of the club, and the following were cbosen : John O'Mara. Vice-President- KugeneCummlnss. Seeretary- Daniel Flynn. It wae thon moved that a committee, consisting of two from cach ward, should bc appointed, for the purpose of drafting a dooument embodying the objectsof the club, which every member would be obliged to sign. The following were elected as such oonimittee : lst ward- Willis Blisg, Kugene Cnininlngs. 2d ward- Geo. Lntz, Cln in. Schmidt. M ward -Ogcr Werner, John Martin. 4th ward- Chris. Schumncher, John Carrol. Stb ward -David Klog, Newton Felch. tb ward - Wm. Fletoher, Tho. Wood. The meeting then adjourned for ono week at the same time and place. The committee will then be ready to report, and anieles of the club ready to sign. We are informed that thcre are upwards of 200 young voters of this city who stand ready to unite with this organization, for the purpose of accomplishing something, supposcd to be detrimental to the prospecte of certain politicians and janitor.
