Woman's Christian Temperance Union
Tho annual meeting of the Woman's Chriatian ïemperance Union, for Washtenaw county, was held at Dexter onthe 27th and 28th of October, 1880. Although a large number of delogates was not present, pleasantand instruetive time wasenjoyed. Many phasea of the work was discussed, cliii Hy among them, was " The education oí' the childreo in the Tetnperance cause." Mrs. W. McAndrew, of Ypsilanti, and Rev. W. J. Campbell, of Dexter, addressed the public meeting in the evening on this subject, lleports from the several unions were very good. l'otitions for the constitutional aiuendment had been circulated in some of them. Thursday afternoon was occupied with unñnishcd business, and the election of officers, whieh resulted as follows : President- Mr. D. Wood, Ann Arbor. Vice prest.- Mrs. B. Turner, Ypsilanti.
