Bc it ordaimd by the mayor, recorder, and ldermen of the city of A1111 Arbor : nm iion 1. That 110 person sliall exercise the business or triwie of au auctloneer, r sell property at public anctlon or outcry without a licentie f rum the license commlttee. Tlils sectioa shnil not apply to any person selling property by vfrtue of a legal proce8, or under a inortgage, or for benevolent or charltable purposes. Skition 2. The llcense commlttee are hereby aulhorixwl to Krant a llcense to any person of v,' ui cnaracter, on the conditlons prescribed in the followingsectlon: Skction 8. Any cltlren of Ann Arbor applying for a licensc shall, before the same is granted to hlm, pay lnto the city treasary the lam of twnty-ilv tlolïar per ywii, bi,J lito recorder's fee, and executea bond to the Corporation In the som of nve hundreds dollars witn twosufficient suretles conditlonal for the iHiiliiul obnervanceof the charter and ordlnances of Bald city. If the appllcant for sucli license be a non tuiden! of the city, he shall pay for suoli licenae at the rate of twenty-flve dollars per day in advauce for each and every day he shall sell, and the recorder's fee, and lie shall also glve a Hite bond, with llke surelies as hereinbefore prescribed for resldents; and any resident auctloneer who shall sell or be engaged In the sale of the goods or stock of any non-resident of the city, or transient person doing business here temporarlly, shall whlle soempToyed and eugaged, be treated as a non-resldeut auctloneer, and shall pay the same per day lnto the city treasary as is here provided for non-resident auctloneers. ski ¦ i ion 4. No bell or crler shall be used to collect bidders at any auctlon. 8KTION 5. Any vlolatlon of any provlsions of this ordlnanco shall be punlslnMi ly a fine of not less than ten dollars, and not to exceed one hundred dollars and costs, or by Imprisonment in the county jail not to exceeu three inon ths, In the dlNcretion of thecourt.
