Dr. P. B. Rose is in town again. Professor Morris is herc forththolklays. A. C. Angelí and wtfe, of Detroit, are in the city. A. B. Wood spends the holklays w'ith his family here. J. J. Goodyear and wife went to Detroit on Tuesday. I. K. Pond, of Chicago, is in town for the Holidays. K. Manu opont Alonday and Tupsday with his pareuts here. N. Sheldon, wife, and daughter Mamie, were in the city on Christmas. Mr. Frank Rice, of Millington, paid us a pleasant visit a few days ago. Miss Anna Ileim and Mrs. Charlotte Ilutzel spent Tuesday in Chelsea. Miss Libbie Ellis, of Detroit, is visltlng the Misse8 Wood, on Jefferson street. Henry Heim, of East Saginaw, visiting here a few days, left for home Monday. Oscar J. Hood, of Comuna, is visiting his aunt, Mrs. H. Carpenter, in this city. Ilenry Hatcli and wife, fornier residents of this city, were in town during the week. Arthur Marshall, of Chicago, spent Christmas here with his father anil sistcis. Mrs. S. W. Wakeman, of Lockport, N. Y., is visiting her relatives in this city and Dexter. Orville Davis called at the Courier office a léw days ago. He is visiting friends near the city. Mrs. Miller and 'daughter, of WilliamSton, are visiting ut Christían Milicos, in this city. Geo. Denj-ier, Chas. Mann and George Kuster, all of Detroit, spent Christmas in this city. Miss Jennie Vandeventer is spenilinjr the holidays with her mother and friends ín Dundee. Mr. Ilill and wife, of Detroit,spent Chiïstnias with the latter's father, Mr. C. Bliss, of this city. # Mrs. Joe T. Jacobs left to-day for Coluuibus, Ohio, called away by the illness of her mother. Victor Weklmann, foriucr clerk in Kberbach's hardware store, now of East Sasiinaw, is in town. John Schneider and wife, of Maybee, Monroe county, is spending the Holidays with his friends here. R. E. Frazcr is passing his leisure hours with his family, at his homestead, on Miller Avenue, in this city. Mrs. Merrian Johnston, of St. Paul, Minn., is visitlng her parents, Mr. and Mis. Calvin Bliss, of this city. Mr. W. W. Whedon has been kept at home for two or tjjree days with a sprained ankle. He is able to be out now.
Miss Isa and Lena Moloney, of Fountain street, this city, are spending the holidays with their uncle, in Grand Rapids. Mr. Higley, formerly of Ann Arbor, is spending a few days here. He is teaching in a young ladies seminary at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Mr. and Mrs. George S. Brush had the pleasure of welcoming a new daughter on Christmas, the wife of their son Charlie, who was married Dec. lOth to Miss lfattle DeVinnie, of Detroit.
