Students are scarce. Vacation is nearly half over. The Literary Adelphi ezpects to give a special program soon. Prof. Spaulding attentled the State teachers association at Lunsing this weekDr. F. D. Shepard, '81, thls year UklDg lectures in New York city, is in town. Q. M. Bigelow, lit "81, principal of the W. J. Warner, lit '76, is teachinr at a young ladies seminary at Lake Geneva, VVisconsin. Barnes, lit '84, is teaching this year at Thornvllle, Lapeer county. He expects to be back next year. Theophilus Schmid, pharmic '81, 'now stopping in Chicago, is spending a week here with his parents. II. A. üavis, lit '84, who ha been spending the vacation in Ann Arbor, intends to go to Chicago next week to hear Patti slng. Messrs. Fellows, Mc Avoy and Bryar.t menibers of the senior law class, were exauiined and admitted to the bar on Tucsday last. The A lpha Nu literary society has ordered a fine, large Miller piano and as soon as it comes the members will give a special program. Some new and beautiful stiffs adorn the tables of the dissecling room, making the heart of the homesick medie leap with delight as he thinks of the kind reniembrance of Santa Claus in providing for his hollday amusement. The notes on Prof. Langley's course of lectures on general chemistry, electro-therapeutics and chemical physics, edited by Orion J. Fay, D. D. S., are now ready for use. They were printed and buund in a neat and haiuly volume, at the Coubiku office, and will supply a want long feit among the student community. It should meet with a ready stele.
