A lady at Lansing is reportad as making a silk bed quilt wliich will practically be a complete map of the state. Tiie different eounttea will all be distinguished by different shades of silk, and all railwaysand rivers will be represeuted by Kensington stitch lines. The quilt will ilso show the poach belt, pine districts, and mineral regions in appropriate silk tints. AU bodies of water will be represented by wattered silk. The prominent places are shown and the names of the counties and cities will be workedin silk. The lady has been at work ou the quilt for tb ree months, and it will take tlirce months to complete it. The raw material alone will cost about $100. It will be placed in the state exhibit at Louisville.
