The particulars concerning the forgery last weck of A. L. Noblo's name toa check of $13 on the Farmers' and Mechanica' Bank, of this city, are as follows: Mr. Stebbins, a liotel keeper of Dexter, perhaps last Wednesday, furnished a man stopping at liis house with tlie ïinnunt of the check above named; itwas made pajrable to a certain party or bearer. The check was cashed to Mr. Stebbins by C. S. Gregory & Son, bankers of üexter, and sent by thom on Friday to tlie Commercial Bank of Detroit who mailed it to the Farmers' and Mecliauics' Bank licre on Saturday. Mr. Tolchard, the cash er of the latter bank, suspeeting the signature of tlie check was not Mr. Koble's, informed hini of his suspicions and found he was correct. On attempting to catch the fcllow at Dexter, it was found he had left. It is thouwht he was a traveün man.
