JohnsHopkins rejoices greatly over her (omparatively recent acquisition of the Bluntschli library, which is saidto be an extremely valuable collection of books on the science of law. There are 1,800 bound books and 3,000 pamphlets - a small collection in eomparison with some, but composed of books very valuable and in many cases very rare. The university Rugby association is credited with the following billof farefor the current month: Saturday, 15, Albion vs. University, at Albion; Saturday, 22, Chicago Rugby team vs. University, at Ann Arhor; Thanksgiving day a return game at Chicago, which will be properly observed in keeping with President Arthur'l proclamation. The University of Edinburgh has 39 professorships, 18 of which have an iucome of $5,000 or more. Tho professor of Anatomy gets the handsome salary of $10,000, the professor of Greek $6,500, and the professors of Latin and Mathematica $7,500 each. These figures will perhnps tempt some of our professors to an infraction of the tenth commandment.
