Will you allow me a little of your valuable apace this weck to say a few VOfdl moro '.' 1 seo by the Detroit papers that a meeting was held at Detroit lust Mouday, upon invitation of Dr. Maclean, to discuss tho remora] of the clinical department of the Michigan Uuiveraity to Detroit. There werc praaent trom the University Dr. Angelí, Profs. Palmer and Frothiiiitham, Regents Joy and Duffleld; and a host of Detroit men wcre there, headed by Drs. Maclean, Lyater, Brodie, Book, etc. The subject of removing the hospital of the medical department from Ann Arbor to Detroit was discussed, togetbei with Dr. Maelean"s line supper, and the Detroit papers report a unanimoiis verdict favoring tlie project. A bilí was ordcred drafted at once and furwarded to Lansing to be foroed through as soon as possible. Far be it from the writer to question the wisdom of these gentlemen, but I must confess that their action is surpiisinji. Let this change be efl'ected and it will bo tho death blow to the medical department of the University of Michigan, t;ift"y it over in any way you may.
