Blunders Of The Telegraphers
Many biunders occur in the transmission of telegraph messages. The mistakes, as a rule, occur with the operator who recelves the message, and it is generally on a busy wire over wliich two or three hundred messages are received daily. The wires between this city and New" York do the heaviest work. Some ol the errors quoted at the main offices of the Western Union Companv yesterday read as follows: "Wil lam GUI & Pie,""for"William Uillespie;" "Do not send the money " for "Do not send testimonvi" " Meet me with hearse and oarriage,' which should have read; "Meet me with horse and carriagü; " " Dr. A. Wing, room car conductor;" instcail of " Drawing-room car conductor;" " Pancake, Bclts & Co," for "Hancock, Beals & Co. ;" " llescrve me a room in Astor House " read "Reservo me a room iu store-house."-
