There is also an empty clothing box ftwaltlng the generous impulses of the well-to-ilo house wives of our city. The disringuishcd strangers, who recently lionored us with tlieir presence, inquired : "Wliere are the poor of Ann Arbor?" and it is cause for ruuch gratitude, that we have not in niany instances the extreme wretchedness to deal with, that those wlio reside in largc c-ities hare, but to those who ure interested, many cases of want among the worthy poor are constantly beiiifi [ireseuteil.
