Oled, at Aiid Arbor, Michigan, May 5th, 1SS, Mrs. Kliza Ann Case, wlfn of James V. Case, Knj , aged 7 yeurti and 23 days. Mrs. Case was born ia the town of Otis, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts, where she realdad uutil the time of her marriage, whicli oicurred at Warren, Oliio, upon the 23d of October, 1350. Soon after this she removed with lier liiisbaiul to Auburn, Indiaiiii, whicli was her home lor more th;iii thirty years. In the antumn of 1882, she camu to Ann Arbor, and here remained n n til her dealh. Two sons were born to h r durinjj her re.sidence at Auburn, one of wliom died in early infaney; the other, Mr. James Albert Case, accompaniud ly his aiint, Miss Cornelia E Ötrickland, preceded Ml parent8 to Ann Arbor where lie pursued his studie?, {rrfhdyjrtlrjg from the hi;h scliool In 1880, and froiu the literary department of the University in 184. For many years Mrs. Case had llved a quirt, faithful Christiau life. She confeswd lier i'aith in Cluist in her youlh and iinitcd wlth the church in lier home tmtng the Berkshire hills, with which church she retained her meml)ersliip until her death. She was a lovinj; wilV, an affectionate mother and a trtie friend and sister. During her long and wenry sickness of neaily ti inonths, she often testified to her faith in God and her remliness to accept without doubt or question all His appoiulments. Her patiënt eudurance, and steadfist faltll and imsellisli thouvhtfulness for others during these inonths of pain greatly endearcd her to her husband and her son, who aimc from his distunt homo In jyaáhlnjrton, D. ('., to care for her; and to her sister, Miss Strickland, who throurh all her married life bad beeu a meinber ot' her household and her constant companion.
