Miss Emma Nichols has been visiting friends In Ann Arbor during the week.- Stockbridge Sun. Aniong the pleasant cnllers this court week, at this office, have been L. W. Brlggs of Dexter, and L. J. Lehman, of Chelsea. Mr. and Mis. J. H. Howell, of Caro, MIeh., carne to Ann Arbor Monday for a short stay, and were the guests ol Geo. H. Pond and family. Mrg. Dr. D. J. Merrlman, of Painesville, Ohio, a former resident of this city, has been n Ann Arbor on business during the week, and was a pleasant caller at the Courier office Friday last. Rev. I. N. Elwood, of Flint, who was pastor of the M. E. church in ttus city some years ago, is in the city, the guest of Prof. C. H. Stowell. He comes here to consult medical skill, and is in quite poor healtli. Alonzo P. Turner of Halley, Idaho, is visiting hls son who is in college, and his brother Quillcy A. Turner. This is the tirst time these brothers have met in 21 years. Mr. Turner is lnterested in the tHines of thatsection.
