Quite a. stir was created in lyceum No. I's meeting lastFrlduy evening when two members attempted to resign, knowing that they wereto be nsked to do so. These members were then asked to resign. They are the foundurs of of the new lyceum'. The junior? and seniors will have a social gatherinK In the ladies' library rooms on Huron street next Friday evening. The bill, we are told, is to be $1 without company, and 50c. with. riome of the boys are anxious to know whetlier it will decrease at the saine rute if they take two. Lyceum No. 2 is organized with the following offlcers and thirteen members: President, Mr. Oatleri vice-prea., Ml?s Hiiviland; aearetary, Miss Cramer; tre:isurer, H. M. RasdalL The society will grapple with the question, "Resolved, That ltailroad sliould be owned by the Government," on Friday evening next, In room No. 8. It is a sound and deep question and wil! without doubt be sntisfactorily settled in the mimi of all bearers by the highly accomplished members of this new organization.
