Correction

In last month's issue of AGENDA (June, 1995) we mistakenly cut off the last line of the first paragraph in "The end of Welfare?"by Valerie Polakow. The entire paragraph should have read: These stories are not unusual. They are stories that describe the daily struggles of women and their kids who are living in poverty and are on the edge of homelessness. Every woman that I interviewed for my book, "Lives on the Edge, " was f rom Michigan and was working part time or had been working fuil time and was forced to give up her job because of a housing, or chiid care, or health crisis.
