This Modern World

by Tom Tomorrow

This week-- it's Bob Dole in his own words-- with genuine excerpts from a recent interview on the PBS News Hour...

Note: In keeping with the Senator's desire to project a younger, more vigorous image, we have chosen to represent him this week as a championship weightlifter!

Plus! Bonus commentary from Blinky the very nice dog!

Arf! Arf! I wuv you!

Bob Dole exhibits his dynamic focus and compelling sense of purpose...

"I'd like to have an agenda for America...something that's real, something to make a difference in the lives of children, workers, whatever!

He is so inspirational!  I would like to be his Fwiend!

Bob Dole explains why the minimum wage is simply irrelevant...

"Not many people out there are working for the minimum wage. They're generally college students or part-time workers--and some come from upper income families!"

Well, then, there's no problem...I guess

Lastly, Bob Dole describes to voters the criteria they should use in selecting the next President...

"The bottom line is, people need to look at each of us and say, who would I trust my children to? If something happened to me, would I want them to be with Bob Dole or Bill Clinton?"

Um...ok...if you say so...You know I don't really understand politics very well...Can I go now?
