Building Communities Of Resistance & Renewal

October 4-6

Neahtawanta Center

Traverse City, MI

How can we build communities where diversity is seen as a resource, not a problem, where we can find support in hard times and celebrate our good times? How can we open up deeply when we are surrounded by pain?

The time is ripe for women and men to co-create a vision for the future where we treat ourselves, the earth and one another with a sense of wonder, desire and sanctity - where safety, nurturing and passion ease away fear, power over and rigidity

Using the tools of magic grounding, circle casting, invocation. storytelling, myth making, trance, meditation, movement and dance - we will work within a non-hierarchical structure to create rituals for healing ourselves, each other and the Earth. We will re-envision community as a place where we can find our own inner power and use it to transform the conditions around us.

The retreat will be held at the Neahtawanta lnn, we will need to limit the number of participants to 30, so reserve your space early. The intímate setting of the lnn will provide a perfect space for exploring the connection between spirituality and social change.
