J. B. EIBLERS OBSERVE 65TH ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. John B. Eibler observed their 65th wedding anniversary quietly yesterday with members of their family at their home, 314 W. Liberty St.

Mr. Eibler, who is 94 years old, was founder of the J. B. Eibler jewelry store which is located at 308 S. State St.

He came to Ann Arbor from Germany when he was 27 yaers old. After serving 21 years in the William Arnold jewelry store, he established his own shop at 109 W. Liberty St. In 1919, the shop was moved to 314 S. Main St. and after 20 years to its present location.

Mr. Eibler has been retired for 19 years. The business is carried on by two of his sons, Rudolph and Erwin.

His wife, who is 90 years old, came to Ann Arbor from Germany when she was 11 years old. She is the former Marie Schlenker. One of her two brothers, Christian Schlenker, established Schlenker’s Hardware store here.

The Eiblers were married Oct. 21, 1884, in Ann Arbor at the home of Mrs. Eibler’s sisters and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Pfisterer. They have made their home in Ann Arbor since that time.

The couple has four sons, Rudolph and Erwin of Ann Arbor, Walter of Dearborn and Herbert of Cleveland, O.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
