Description

April Ryan, a 30-year journalism veteran, has been the White House correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks (AURN) since January of 1997, covering three Presidents. She is the only black female reporter covering urban issues from the White House – a position she has held since the Clinton era.

April Ryan will make a special appearance at AADL to discuss her new – just released – book The Presidency in Black and White: My Up-Close View of Three Presidents and Race in America, a factual and compelling behind-the-scenes look at the inner-workings of race relations as it relates to the White House.

The event includes a book signing and books will be for sale.
