Casualty
Cpl. Dennard M. Figg, 20, of 921 Gott St., was killed Dec. 7 in Korea, according to a Defense Department telegram. He is the son of Mrs. Estella Figg and the late Hazen Figg.

Was Member of Marine Headquarters Unit
Cpl. Dennard M. Figg, 20, of 921 Gott St., son of Mrs. Estella Figg and the late Hazen Figg, was killed in Korea on Dec. 7, his mother learned in a Defense Department telegram.
No details of his death were given. Cpl. Figg was serving with the 1st Marine Division in a headquarters unit.
Following his enlistment on Aug. 12, 1947, Cpl. Figg was sent to Parris Island, N. C. for basic training. He later served on Guam and in San Diego, Calif., before shipping to Japan and Korea on Aug. 24 of this year.
Before his enlistment, Cpl. Figg had attended Slauson Junior High School.
He was married on Oct. 21, 1949, to the former Doris Boyd, who lives at Fullerton, Calif.
Besides his wife and mother he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Catherine V. Bretz, and three brothers, Cameron
