The Democratie papers urge the Senate'a coneurrenco in the resoluVon, whieh is regarded as an indication that the Douglas and Breckiaridge wingg are to unito in one Democratie party as it existod prior to Buchanan's administration. Scveral more attempts have been made in the Asserably to oonour in the Senate resolution fixing the 20th inst., for a joint convention to eloct a U. S.
