This is all very fine; but what wo want is the gayety of social intercourse; the ness that speaks affability to all, that ; chases tirnidity írom every bosora, and tells every man in the company to be confident and happy. This is what we conceive to be the virtue of the text, and not the tsickening fonnality of those who walk by rule; and would reduce the whole of the h uraan life to a j bound systom ol inistry and constraüit.
