Steamera liavo been prohibited Irorn taking proviaiona Öouth. Two steameis havo been chartered tn act aa po lice boats thoroughly armed, and will stop and search all passing steainers. Three companies of troops leave tonight for the rendezvous at ColuiTibus. The Home Guard 19 rnpidly filling its ranks. Enlistment at Newport Barracks is very active. Over 500 men ara nuw in garrison. A large consignment ol bacon for Charleston via Nahville was taken ofif the titearoer Glenwood thrs morning. The exciti-inent thron;hout the eity is on the ircrease.
