Sandfdrd, froin Martinsburg, iiieutions the following interesting incident, relatod bv General Patterson : Among tbc wounded soldiers of tho rebel arniy taken as prisoners in the recent battle, ono who was dying sent for an offiecr and told liim that Iu; would i'ind liis musket clean and unloadcd, and the touch-holc in the cono on which the cap is placed filled with wax; and then, with his last breatli, ho prajed for tho Union. The gun was examiued, and tho tale of this sadly wronged victim of Southern tyranny proved tu be true.
