The Cliristian Jüanner, published at Predericksburg, Va., was suspended May 9, 18(32, in consequcnee of the editor's loyalty to the Union, and bis rcfusal to aid in plunging Virginia into the vortex of seoession. Just oue year from tliat day its publication is resuiued. In his article announcing it, the editor remarks : W'heu we closed our office twelve months ngo, the seccssion flay - the emblem of all folly, was waving over our city - to-day, the American flag - tho stars and stripes - the proud emblem of a nation's greatncss - the flag which our fathers won through blood and death - the flag whieh our fathers loved - the flag whieh all nations honor - the flag under whieh we were born and have lived forty-iive years, save one, uow floats proudly over us. Long may it wave over the land of the freo and the home of the brave - may it wave over us, our children, our grand-ohildren and great grand-chüdren, till Oabriel's tramp shall souud, and old time shallend - theu jood-bye old time-honnred flay. Ileaveu is a botter place than America.
