A largo and respectable Union Con vention was held al the Court House in in this city, on Mondny last, io tho proceedings oí which see anolhe column. Delegntes were appointed ti attend tho State Convention at Jack son - callod for yosterday - and a Con gressional Convention when called. - ïho Convention also prooeeded to the nomination of full County and Legisla tiva tickets, and tho following candi dats were unanirnously brought out : For Sheriff - Puihp Wi.negar, o Norlhiiuld. For Clerk-TnacY W. Koot, of Ann Arbor. For Treasurcr - Hojiace Carpenter of Pittafield. For Jlegitlcr-Ylovíkiio G. Sheldox, of Yp3lanti. For Prosecutmg Attorney - Alexan der D. Crank, of Suio. For Circuit (Jourt Commissioner - Thomas L. Humpurkville, of Saline. For Corone rj- Piíilkmon 0. Mukray, of Salem, and Edward L. Boyden, of Wubster. For Senators- "7 th District - Will!am Jay, of Northfield ; Sik District - John J. Robison', of Sharon. For Representatives - lst dist., Chester Yost, of Ypsilanti ; 2d dist., Hikam J. BKAKEs,of Ann Arbor; 3d dist., Lovatüs C. Allen, of York; 4th dist., Elisiia Conodon, of Svlvan. The ticket ia a good one, and un qucstionably combines many elementa of strength. It is diviüed half-andhalf between tho two old partijs, tho8o mnrked with having up to thjs time.been idontified witli tho Demoorats, and the othcrs with tho Ropublicans. - The old partios will havo to look to their beorings.
