-We wigh to cali t lio attt-'iitiüu oí our excuaGges in tu:s State and tbrough theui the membors of the ncxt Logialature, to tho quality of the paper upoo whioh the Lansing State Itepublican is printed. It is vvell known bj the press tliat paper lias advanoed 100 per cent. and that in oonsuqueuee newspaper publishers all over tbe country are raising thcir terras of subseriptiou. The Lansing Repullican, is published on the fojlowing tèrms : "One copy, one year, $1,00; eleven copies to one address, 10,00. Twenty copies to one address, $17.00" - or eiyhty-five cent a year. - These are ratos whioh are extremely low in ordiuary times, but with print 'paper advanced 100 per cent. and everything else aeeordingly they are ruinous ratos, and yet this " State Journal " or the State i'tscJf, affords a sheet printed regularly upon fine heavy look paper, and has iis yet said nothing about advaneing the terma. Haring unliinitcd accees to paper belongiug to tha State of Michigan, tbe luatter looka McKinneyiali to say tho least, and needs looking after. Of eourse we would not intímate that a pure pious hmnanitarian, black republican State Printer would steal. Not a bit of it. But he might mako a slight mistake every week, and wet down the State's paper iustead of bis own, and yet be "cminently honêst " - of eourse he might. - -l'entiac Jucaoi,.'..!:.
