Last Monday night a squad of rebel cavalry, under Captain Ilarris, dasïied iato Franklia, Kentucky, arrested the opc;ratorand carried off the instrumenta, and also broke opon a nuuiber of trunks at the depot, oarryiiig away the contenta. Persons from below report a large force of Confederates, estimated at tweaty thbusand, cro.-sing the Cuiiiberland ltiver, near Lebanon, Tenneasee, preparatory to an ad vanee iuto Kentueky. - J hreo tliousand rebels are near Glasgow, Kentucky, advaneing on ihat place. - Morgan with a considerable forcé is in Smith county, Teuceesee, preparing to muke another raid oo the Louisville and Nashville iiuilruad. As the Cumberland Iliver is very low it is expeetod the rebels will soou attaek the railroad. There is eoosiderable excitonient along the route. Dispstches to the Associated Tress. Cairo, April 14. The rebels in the vicinity of Fort Donelson have beeu for some time gathering all their forces for cavalry service. To put a stop to this llosecrans ordered all the good horses in the ncigliborhoud to be tüken by Federal forces while engaged in tlus servicu. Soventy men, on Friday last, met about the same uuinber of rebel cavalry and a skirmish ensued in which twenty one of the Jatter were taken prisouers, including Major Blandón and two Captaius.
