From the IÜchmond Enquirer, Juljr 27. In response to an aunouncement that Gen. Wm. H. F. Lee and Capt. Wioder have been placed in confinement at Oíd Point as hostages for the two Yankee officcra, Flynn and Sawyer, eondemned to be shot by the Confedérate authorities, our Commissioner has informed the Federal governraent that the Confedérate government will not be intiiuidatcd by any sueh threats, and that the execution of said offieers will take place as soon as the President may see fit. Tt is hoped that the Executive will see fit to give the order for execution irnmediately ; and as we have now over 500 in our hands, [Onr government has at least 5,000 rebel offieers in its hands. - Editor Ilaltimore Arnericaii], besides some fivo or ais thousand privates, it is in the power of the govemment to carry retaliation to a very bitter extreme. The peoplo cali for the death of these two Yankees, and it is useless to delay their death any longer.
