-On Monday forenoon of this week, Mr. Ossian R. Ross, a inem ver of the Juuior class of tlfe University flíicligan) committeer suicide at the residence of Mrs. Reese in this city, by evering the artery in hts arm near the t,off. He was found upou the floor, ■ tbeside of hisbed, in bis shirt sleeves, vith his boots off, and his face over a pail thalarge quantity of blood in it. The rior was under him, and near him a bottleof chloroform. On the tablo was found this note : „To all wliom it may concern : Having come to the conclusión tbat ffly Ufe is no benefit to myself or friends, t a disgrace to both, I have deterrnined , nut an end te it. God forgivo me if I wronz. I die in the hope of Heaveu. 40 b OSS1AN R. R0SS, 10 o'clock 40 minutes A. M." )Ir. Ross was in attendance at chapel (jercises in the morning, and appeared ucheerful as usual. Various reasous re assigned for the commission of the sct, Done of which arenecessary to make public. }Ir. Ross was a son of the member of Congress by that name from Illinois.
