We have now in the United States at least 235 general hospitals fer the use of the Süldiers, containing about 80,000 patiants. To show ou wbat a large seale our battles have been fought as we do everything else, it seeras that during four montbs of 1862, therb were treated at our hospitala 20,930 caaes of gunshot wounds, The wounded of the whole British army io the Crïmean war was only a little over 12,000, and their entire hospital accommodations io the three years vvould not havesufficod for the wouuded at either of the battles of Shiloh, Antietara or Gettysburg.
