-Remeraber in all tbings, that if you do not begin, you will never coma to an end. The first seed in the ground, the first shilling put in the savings' bank, and the first mile traveled on a journey, are all important things ; they inake a begiuuinL and thereby a hope, a promise, a pledge, an assurance that you are in earnest with what you have undertaken. How many a poor idle, erring, hestitatiug outcast is now creeping and crawling his way through the world, who wight have held up his head aud prospered, if, instead of putting off his resolutions of industry and amendment, ho had ouly made a beginning !
