jCoart of the United States, is now presiding ,oer the Circuit Court for this district, in Detroit. Saturday evening last with his wife, ha Tisited our city and remained over the Sabtath. Col. MiLtER gave the Judge and his lady a drive through the city and around the suburbs. He expresscd himself very much plcased with what he saw, aml said (,hat he Id 8een no town ín our country more beautifully located, or offering greater attracliong nd advantages as a home. Especiaily did he commend ihp ducational facilities offeredour citizcns, and which Bingular to say intelligent 'isiting straugers always more certainly apPreciate than do our own residents. We hope tbat Judge Swayne may pay our city another 'isit, and make a longer stay.
