That the resiguation of Gewg' B. McCleUan, as M:ijor General in the U. S. Army, datcd Nov. 8th, and receited by the Adjutant General on the lOtk iust., be aecepted as of the 8th of November. 2d. That for persona] galtantry, military skill, and just eonfidence in tk courage and patriotism of his troops, diiplayed by Phiüp H. Shcridan oa tie 19th of üctober, at Cedar Run, vhereby, under the blessing of Providence, W routed army waa rc-organized, gfea' national disaster averted, and a brilW victory achieved over the rebels for third time ín pitched batt'e witbinw days, Philip II.
