Palmerston - the Premier of the British Cabinet, aud for half' a oontury prominontly conneoted wilh the British gov eenraent, died on tho 18th uit., at 9.35 A. M. Lord Palmkrston was born in [reland on the 2Oth day of October, 1784, and therefore lacked but two dnya of being 81 years oíd. He has been a eading spirit in the affairs of Europe, and has shaped the policy ol his ovvn country for many years. His death at this junctnre may somewLat embarrass the Queen.
