"Dear Hearth and Homís : - I have two boys, one fourteen and the other silteen, Tbcy are bright and active, :nd of course as restless as the wind As soon as tbeir chores ure done, they want to go out; but I cannot bcar to have them away from my sight. If they go lo ihe villago, they will learn something bad ; f they go skaticg, they will break in ; if they go out to play with the other boys, they will hear bad words, and may be led into soine uameleas 6ns. Skating, sliding down-hill, bie-spy, anyihing that requires muscular exertioD, will bo a blessing. Eccourage thein to go out rathcr than etay io. Go to the door with them. Let them know that you are intorested iu their sports, and when they couie home, meet them with siniles, never with frowns. But keep them awy from tho village. Boys are lost when the saloon begiu to have oharins for tlieui. They are safe while they loveyou, aud make you their coufidanto, however wild they are It is their nature. ïhey must work off their surplus energy in some way, and it ia most natural and heallhful to do it out oi doors. -
