Among the preparations thnt have beon made, by order of the govornment, for the expedition to the Rd Rlver, it may be nieDtioned that 2,000 barrels of flour have been forwarded to Collingwood, ready for shipment to the Northwest ; 1,000 barre's of pork are also in warehouse at Toronto for dispatch. Sixty row boats, carrying twoiity-iïve men and two tons of fieight each are ready, gome of wliich aro litted with propellers, to assist those not so provided. The pplendid vessel, the Chicora, has been chartered to leavo Colhngwood about the 25tb of April for Thunder Bay, and wil], no doubt, tko up the bulk of provisioDS to the head of nnvigation. This is only a small portion of the preparations that are goingforward, giving evidcnce that nolhiDg is leing neglected to push forward the Red Iliver expediticn. It all goc; well, tho advance guard will reaoh Fort Gnrry by thcthird week in May. If Keill has not become a fugitive in the land long bcfore that ho will then make his exit on the doublé quick. - Loneon Free Press.
