PoTTsviLLE, Pa,, Aug. 29. - A terrible accident occured about 7 thia morning at Preston elope number three, at trirardsville, Pennsylvania, by wbioh aix men were killed and oue futally woudded. A cage got ff tbe traok and a wagon contuiuing seven men w:is thronrn olí by coming ia contact with the top timbera, wbieh precipitated them to the bottom of tbe ulope, a distaoco of ono hundrcd yarda. Thofollowing wero killed : Geo. Tay lor, Jobn Taylor, Tbomas ltobbins, Miohael Wchl, Phillip Farley and Thomas Dourker. William ïaylor lost one foot and was otherwise Beriously, and probftbly futally injured. The three Taylors wero brothers. All tbe men, witb ono exception, leave large families. Mr. Bowleg, of tbe Spriogfield Repubican, writcs home tbat it is difficult traveling in Gcrmany now. One day he iiappeucd to want to go in an oppoeite direotioD to tho oourse of the army, and t took bim two days to go eighteeo miles.
