The Count do Cliambord, ono of the aspirants to the throno of France, the conceded representativo of tho Ilouse of Bourbon, was bom in Paris, Sopt. '29th, 1S20. He is the sou of Charles Ferdinand. Duko of Curry, who was the secund son of Charles X., tho last Bourbon King of France, and brother erf Louis XVI. The Count's features are strongly of tho Bourbon type, and hundsoiuc, with blue eyes, light hair, mustache and whiskers. H is short, especially in the Deck, with broad shoulders and full chest, lm ving an appearanco of muscularity rather tii.in digiiity, and is fond of manly sports. His manners aro affable, graceful, and very popular. Like all the Bourbons, he has livod tho life of a dethronod King, always MBuming that he would in time be rciii.statod. His cnorcnous fortune, together with that of his wife, who was one of the rirhest rrincesses of Europe has enablcd him to sustain the dignity of his position in a mannor that would prepare him, in all social respecta, to assume the throne of France in a becoming inanner. What may bo his abilities in tho direction of statcsmanship can only bo inferred froru his success as a man of business and his popularity as a leader of society.
