We haTO kiept fish for years without loss, except by accident, giving them nottdog but fariaa is small qoantities, but we havo latoly discovered that thuy lileo corn mcal even better. There is an objoction to feeding fish much where they ure kept in aquaria with plaats, and whore tlie water cannof bo often chauged. The water ís apt to become defilod, and, indeed, will become more or less so ia spite of all 'preoaution. As we like a clean tank, we have oe to keep planta, but change the water once a week, washing tbetank, shells, pebblos, md sand thoroughly. It is not very nuch trouble, and it is a great satisfacion to have the glass thoroughly cli au ind the water olear. We think uur fiah ire much more lively and interestïng than hose tanks whore the wnter is not oh i o often, and is but poorly fiiniisii.d with oxygen by the plante.
