A correspondent of the Germantown TeUgraph writcs how to make guano : Froin time to time, is there aro any boiie to dispose of, I take them to ray hen-bouse, lay them on a flat stone, and with an old ax break tht-m up fine nnd let the hens oat them. In the hen-house under the roest there is a tight floor, and over tliis flÁI spi'feiMl'dï'jvfirie earth or nnn-.k, and oocasionally as the 'manure accnmulatcs more earth is spread over it. Whon 1 wish to clean out the manure the contenta are sboveled over and mixed together, and it is then in a shape that it can be used at any time or place. Aïy practice is to dsan out spring and fall, und by having a supply of dirt to use when wanted, I manufacture and save with very little labor or expense a vi;ry valnable fertilizer - the quautity depending on the uumber of hens kept ; but the amount of manure that can be made from hons m this way is umch larger than one would guppose who has never practiced it, and the value of it when carefnlly saved and applied to the cultivatiou of erops is probably more in proportion to the cost cf keeping tb n that of any other kii.d 'of stock on the' farm.
