Tho following ia from private lette forwarded to the London Daily News : "Vskvs, üct. 16. - We had whatlneve expeoted - a perfect tïbw of the proces sion yeeterday at the marriage of th Emporor of China. We succeeded in getting immediatelyopposite theentrance to tho Impeiial Palace, and in porsuading the mandarina sent up to order us down that wo ought to bo allowed to stay, and they fortunately assonted. Tho coup dc'ail was magnificent. Tho procession was not very long, but the drosses and appointments wen splondid. First came n prinoo on horseback ; then forty-eight whito ponies, with yellow housings, led by men in scarict ; the band, in ecarlet, silent; thirty-two banners, forty-eight fans (big, round things), two black urabreUas, two white ditto, six yellow ditto, six red ditto, two blue ditto, two embroidered yellow ditto, one hundred and ninety-two lanterns (all these things oarried by men in scarlet) ; Prince Kung, looking very handsome, on horseback, with hiB four-bearnr chair oarried beside hiro ; the chasr, yollow and gold, carried by sixteen coolies, all in soarlet (with batons), with sixtoon spare coolies to relievo them (the chair containing tho brido) ; about one hundred officors on horaeback, in their be.t olothes ; about two hundred officers on foot ditto."
