PlIILADEH'HIA, April 1. The semi-aiynual meeting of tUe Board of Catholic Total Abstinence Society of America, was held bere to-day. Rev. James McDevitt presided. Tlie semionnual report was read, and shows tliat there aro in tho union 152 societies, aLgregatiiig bbout 20,000 members, and '200 Catiiolifi Total Abstinence Hocieties, not yet afiUiated with the Union. A oorainitteo was appointed with a view to connecting tho nocieties of Ireland with 4his country in an international union. The ejecutiva committno was instructed to prepareja pledge for gooietiee, to be presented at the next anuual conference, in New York, on the 18th of October next.
