One writer says, never water iramcdiately after feeding. I sny that if a horao is thirtty always givo him a drink, and bo will thank you for it. I havo often sucn horst's put in a stable at noon l'or au hour or two, and not eat a ponnd of hay or grain but looking wishfully for wator, and thon their oareful ownor, who would not let thom bavo wator wben warm, will come to give them enough to kill, and ride or drive tbo remainder of tbe day on two buckets of water and no fct:d. Now, I say, givo tho horse wator if he is evor so warm ; give him a swallow, rinse out his mouth and nostrils, and give him a bita of hay ; in a short timo a little moro water, but not too much. If he is watered several times, a little at a timo, until ho is eatisfied, he will not drink moro than half what he would if you let him gulp it down all at onoe.
