As early as Sahirday there was an active demand for stockers and choice beef cattle, continuing throughout Sunday's market and stimulated by an active homo deniand. There was throughout a fine display of Michigan cattle, averaging better in quality than usual. Two car loads of Illinois steers, owned by J. Freeman, were very choice and were partly disposed of to home buyers, leaving the residue to shippers. The activity in getting lots on the cars for Eastern markets gave an insight into the feeling of professional shippers, who were quite plenty in the yards. Stockera were bought up at fair rates at about tho quotations oí last week. A couple of blooded bulls were in the stables, ono of which weighed twenty-five hundred poands. On the whole the market was a very satisfactory one to all interested.
